Scripture attributes to Jesus the powers, works, titles, and honors it elsewhere identifies with God alone: power over life and death; judgment and reward according to works; searching hearts and minds; creation, forgiveness, redemption, and the bowing of every knee; and the titles First and Last, Alpha and Omega, Saviour, “I am he,” Redeemer, and Lord. It also shows Jesus fulfilling the promised signs of God’s coming, applies words of eternity and unchangeableness to the Son, and identifies the Lord in Isaiah as the Holy Ghost.
