Galen Spring is a writer, researcher, web professional, and Christian whose life has increasingly become centered on the truth of God's word and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Professional work and research
Professionally, Galen has spent years working in internet marketing, web design, digital strategy, and online publishing. His work has trained him to examine claims carefully, trace information back to its sources, distinguish evidence from assumption, and look for consistency across large amounts of information. Those same instincts have become increasingly important in his study of Christianity.
Investigating the claims of Christianity
Rather than treating faith as something that should be separated from reason or serious investigation, Galen has approached Christianity with a desire to know the truth. His study has included the historical and prophetic testimony concerning Jesus Christ, the nature of salvation, the authority and preservation of scripture, biblical doctrine, the meaning of individual words and passages, and the internal consistency of the Holy Bible.
The gospel and the sufficiency of Christ
At the center of that study is the gospel: that man is a sinner before the Holy One, the Lord GOD, and cannot justify himself by his own righteousness or works; that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for our sins, was buried, and rose again; and that eternal life is the gift of God received through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
Galen's Christian convictions are grounded in the sufficiency of Christ's finished work rather than human merit. A recurring concern in his study is the distinction between salvation as a free gift and works that follow salvation. He holds that salvation is by grace through faith, that righteousness is accounted rather than earned, and that the believer's security rests ultimately in what Christ accomplished rather than in the believer's ability to preserve himself.
Approach to scripture
His approach to scripture is similarly direct. He believes the Bible should be allowed to define its own terms and that difficult passages should be interpreted in harmony with the clear teaching of scripture rather than used to overturn it. He places particular importance on the inspired, pure, preserved, and complete King James Bible and has devoted substantial study to its language, vocabulary, translation, preservation, and doctrinal precision.

His Christian life is therefore best understood not simply as the adoption of a religious label, but as an ongoing pursuit of truth with increasingly definite conclusions about where that truth leads. For Galen, Christianity ultimately stands or falls on realities rather than sentiment: whether God has spoken, whether God's word is true, whether Jesus Christ is who he claimed to be, whether he truly died and rose again, and whether his promise of eternal life can be trusted.
And from that conviction comes a larger question that continues to shape his life: if these things are true, what should a man do with the rest of his life because they are true?
